ALLAH's ADDRESS TO MUSLIMS (PART 6)
ALLAH's ADDRESS TO MUSLIMS (PART 6) -
In the name of Allah and may Allah's blessing be upon the last and final prophet, Mohammadﷺ
"O you who have believed, spend from that which We have provided for you before there comes a Day in which there is no exchange and no friendship and no intercession. And the disbelievers - they are the wrongdoers."
Quran 2:254
Points to be noted-
1. Islam has made zakat mandatory on every eligible muslim, man or woman.
2. Anyone who has annual saving more than worth of 85g of gold is eligible to pay zakat
3. Islam encourages voluntary charity which can be given as much as an individual wishes. As much as you spend, the more reward you will have in the hereafter.
4. Whatever an individual has earned is a blessing from Allah and a muslim must know that everything is from Allah and to him all will return. So spend as much as possible for the sake of Allah before the time of death approaches or the blessing is taken away.
5. There will be no son or daughter or parent or sibling or friend or wali or nabi, who will stand as intercessor for anyone but only whom Allah allows.
6. The property or savings of this world will not be of any use on the day of judgement but only that which has been for the sake of Allah.
7. Anyone who spents to earn fame in this world or to showoff, commits shirk. Anyone who does not believe in the Quran and its teachings or rejects even one teaching of the Quran is a disbiliever and will have no share on the judgement day.
Allah knows best!!
May Allah guide and forgive us.
