ALLAH's ADDRESS TO MUSLIMS (PART 10) - In the name of Allah and may Allah's blessing be upon the last and final prophet, Mohammadﷺ "O you who have believed, if you obey a party of those who were given the Scripture, they would turn you back, after your belief, [to being] unbelievers. How can you disbelieve when Allah’s revelations are recited to you and His Messenger is in your midst? Whoever holds firmly to Allah is surely guided to the Straight Path." Quran 3-100 &101 Points to be noted- 1. People who were given scriptures here are referred to jews and christians. They changed the word of God, introduced new things in the religion, started following their rabbis or monks blindly without knowing what their books actually said, to the extent that they started hating religion and became atheists.
