ALLAH's ADDRESS TO MUSLIMS (PART 10) -

In the name of Allah and may Allah's blessing be upon the last and final prophet, Mohammadﷺ

"O you who have believed, if you obey a party of those who were given the Scripture, they would turn you back, after your belief, [to being] unbelievers.

How can you disbelieve when Allah’s revelations are recited to you and His Messenger is in your midst? Whoever holds firmly to Allah is surely guided to the Straight Path."

Quran 3-100 &101

Points to be noted-
1. People who were given scriptures here are referred to jews and christians. They changed the word of God, introduced new things in the religion, started following their rabbis or monks blindly without knowing what their books actually said, to the extent that they started hating religion and became atheists.

Here Allah warns us of consequences that will occur on our faith if we start following them. 

It is sad but in todays world muslims are more inclined towards the ways of western world. Muslims love to migrate to the western coutries(usa, canada, australia, europe) and hate the middle east or muslim countries. Muslims want to become like them, eat like them, have a similar life style, accept their laws whereas we dislike the laws defined by Allah, we dont know and even if we know yet we dont want to follow the sunnah of the prophets. 

Today if someone talks in favour of khilafa and against democracy then Muslims look down at that person as "jihadi", "fundanentalist", "stoneage", "mad", "radical" and what not. So, we must look within ourselves and see on which side are we?

2. The second ayat shows us the light, the light of Quran. Anyone who has built a relationship with Quran and seeks Allah's protection, ponders upon each ayat of the Quran, struggles to follow it and follows the sunnat of Rasool Allahﷺ, then that will be enough and that person will never be misguided.

And Allah knows best. May Allah guide us all.
