Mirror for Muslims

Following ayat is a mirror for the muslims.
Every muslim should read it and introspect if we are earning the rewards of Allah or are making ourselves eligible for the wrath of Allah.

"Then, you are those [same ones who are] killing one another and evicting a party of your people from their homes, cooperating against them in sin and aggression. And if they come to you as captives, you ransom them, although their eviction was forbidden to you. So do you believe in part of the Scripture and disbelieve in part? Then what is the recompense for those who do that among you except disgrace in worldly life; and on the Day of Resurrection they will be sent back to the severest of punishment. And Allah is not unaware of what you do."
Quran 2:85

"So do you believe in part of the Scripture and disbelieve in part?"
Every group has cherry picked the law of Allah according to their preferences and choices. Some dont have time for salah but invest alot in charities while others follow all five pillars but their earning is based on interest or gambling or cheating or bribery. Going for hajj and umrah every year but on haram earnings. Carrying a big beard on the face but no hijab with the na mahrams. Spending all money for making worldly careers but no money or time investment in understand the book of Allah. Are we not following a part of the book and disbelieving the other?

Now what is the compensation for such people?
"except disgrace in worldly life; and on the Day of Resurrection they will be sent back to the severest of punishment."
Are the muslims not disgraced in this world? If you dont think so then what else is islamophobia? Do muslims lives have any value? Do our opinions matter in the world? Do we stand for each other or we kill each other in the name of our imam or firqah?

Indeed its a matter of self introspection, a point from where we need to go back to our basics, Quran. Time to read, understand and follow Quran and be the true representative of Allah.

May Allah guide us and forgive us.
