Do we muslims give the due rights to Quran?

In the name of Allah and may Allah's blessing be upon the last and final prophet, Mohammadﷺ

The example of those who were entrusted with the Torah but failed to do so, is that of a donkey carrying books. How evil is the example of those who reject Allah’s signs! For Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.

Quran 62:5

Bani Israil or the jews,  Allah chose them above all nations and gave them the Torah. They were supposed to establish the divine law and follow its commands and spread its knowledge but what did they do instead? They changed the torah, altered the commands, made their own laws instead of following the divine law and their scholors did not guide their nation to the right knowledge. 

Quran relates such scholars with donkeys. Scholars who gain all knowledge but neither they pass it over to their nation nor do they themselves follow the commandments. 

Similar to jews, Allah gave the Quran to muslims. We were supposed to establish the divine shariah, learn and teach Quran to the world, follow the commands of Quran and the prophet. But what did we do instead? We were not able to change the text of Quran because obviously it has a promised protection from Allah but we left no chance to alter its meanings or tafseer. 

Today our scholars sit on the pulpit and abuse each other in the name of fiqh or their firqah. Pulpit, through which our scholars were supposed to propogate Quran and unite the ummah is now being used to create enimity and widen the distance between muslim brothers.

Imagine and read the above ayat by replacing word Torah with Quran and introspect if we are giving Quran its due rights. Do our actions corraborate with the teachings of Quran? Do we care to know what are the commandments mentioned in it and do we strive to follow them?
