The Challenge of Quran

O mankind, serve your Lord Who has created you as well as those before you; do so that you are saved. It is He Who has made the earth a resting-place for you, and the sky a canopy, and sent down water from above wherewith He brought forth fruits for your sustenance. Do not, then, set up rivals to Allah when you know (the Truth).  

{The challenge} If you are in any doubt whether it is We Who have revealed this Book to Our servant, then produce just a surah (chapter) like it, and call all your supporters and seek in it the support of all others except Allah, if you are truthful.

But if you fail to do this, and you will certainly fail, then have fear of the Fire whose fuel is men and stones and which has been prepared for those who deny the Truth.

Quran 2:21-24

Quran challenges people who say that Quran was written by Mohammad (Peace be upon him) on his own, or people of the book helped him, or he copied from the previous scriptures and Quran calls them to produce atleast one chapter like Quran. Quran challenges them to take all help in the world and produce just one chapter like a chapter in Quran, if they think they are truthful. This challenge is open since 1400 years and it will remain open till the day when all humanity will stand in front of their Lord to answer their deeds individually.
